 cd_enhanced small_95x91Welcome, ShanthYogaPilates is a sole trader business, run by Vrinda, based in and around Camberwell, Melbourne. The business provides professional Yoga and Mat Pilates classes that are small in client number. The classes are small, so individual attention or correction can be provided. To make professional Yoga and Pilates affordable and flexible , there are classes for a range of populations and there are class passes to suit most pockets.

 

Vrinda was introduced to formal Iyengar Yoga in Liverpool, U.K. in 1984.  She is now an Australian qualified Instructor in Mind-Body Fitness, Classical Yoga (Yoga) and Mat Pilates disciplines and, has been instructing in Australia since 2003.  Yoga is all encompassing and, welcomes all regardless of your beliefs. Yoga is also part of Vrinda's culture and family upbringing.

 

Our minds do not function at their best when on constant high alert or if kept functioning on adrenalin/stress for long periods. Those stresses of modern living are not going to go away too soon. So, a positive move would then be : to balance a stressful lifestyle with a state of mind that is not constantly striving to achieve, where there is no expectation or competition. The result is better for you and for those around you, wallah problem sorted :-)!!. Of course, we need to strive to work better and smarter at whatever we do for a living and Yoga will assist in a positive way. Yoga enables you to be a lot more productive,confident, calmer and healthier in mind and body. With Yoga, we allow our body to experience "easy", "fearful", "difficult" and "challenging" postures without being critical or judgemental, which can then be followed through in our daily living.

 

The Yoga and Pilates at ShanthYogaPilates is far from being outlandish and any claims that are made can be substantiated. The Yoga is a combination of the Physical with the other mindfulness aspects, very similar to the authentic Yoga. The Pilates is Aligned for Pilates Studio Mat Pilates, it is one where you will get individual attention and you will be challenged and safe. The Pilates is very close to the Pilates that Joseph Pilates set out to strengthen muscles and improve postural alignment.

 

All Yoga and Pilates based classes at ShanthYogaPilates are equally there for the beginner and the client who has experienced yoga or Pilates.

 

Vrinda is a registered and Insured Instructor.

 

Please bare in mind all humans are different, with different capabilities; hence there is not one ideal position to be, when in a posture. You are encouraged to experience Yoga and Pilates through awareness (Prabhodan), self-study (SwaDhaya) and your breath (Pranayam). Pilates at ShanthYogaPilates is only for the relatively healthy non-pregnant participant, if you are pregnant, Yoga would be a better alternative.

 

Regardless of your background, Yoga encourages equality, non-duality and promotes living in harmony with one another.
